6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Creek Outside of the Karl J. Jacobs Center for Science and Math on Rock Valley College’s Main Campus
Rock Valley College is excited to announce a new summer music series called Jazzin’ After Work. Join us for some great music and a chance to socialize and network with fellow RVC staff and faculty, as well as community members.
The series will kick off on Thursday, June 19, from 6:00 to 8:00pm by the creek outside of the Karl J. Jacobs Center for Science and Math. The event will include special musical guest Ray Silkman and Band, giveaways and drawings, and free food and beverages provided by Jersey Mike’s Subs.

Ray Silkman has been touted as one of the best saxmen in the business. He has opened for jazz greats such as David Sanborn, Kenny G, George Benson, Keiko Matsui, Tom Scott, and the late great Art Porter. He has also received numerous awards and honors, including Midwest Magazine's Artist of the Year 2005 and the Chicago Jazz Legends Award 2010.

Additional dates for the Jazzin’ After Work series will be Thursday, July 17, featuring musical guest ZZAJÉ, and Thursday, August 21, featuring Carla Prather with ZZAJÉ.

Admission is free and these events are open to all in the community. Please share with friends and family!
