The Northwest Illinois Theater Coalition proudly brings Mike Craver’s Queen of the Cow Towns to Orangeville, Mount Carroll and Hanover. This musical is Craver’s fifth and final installment about the ‘five little sinners’, a group of ne’er do well performers seeking fortune but finding trouble. Yet again failing to reach Dodge City, the sinners find themselves stuck in Drizzlyville, Kansas. Hilarity ensues as they get caught up in a crooked senator’s scheme to improve his popularity by holding a Cow Town Queen Beauty contest. Although the final of a series of musical comedies, The Queen of the Cow Towns is enjoyable without having seen the other four Craver shows. Mike Craver again appears as his signature character, Mould the undertaker.
