Angie was born and raised in Belvidere and works at Swedish American Hospital/Crusader Lab. She is married and has 3 children.
Angie was diagnosed with a very rare disease called BEHCETS. BEHCETS disease is an autoimmune disease, the immune system attacks and harms the body's own tissues. The exact cause of this is unknown. The disease is not contagious, however it is very painful. It can affect the eyes, joints, cause severe headaches, blood clots, arthritis, and inflammation in the central nervous system and digestive organs. Angie is currently looking at the possibility of a bone marrow transplant.
A benefit will be held for Angie at Cherry Bowl in Cherry Valley starting at 1 p.m. . The fun-filled afternoon will include cosmic bowling, all types of items for raffle, and 50/50 raffles. Cost of the event is $30/couple.
