College Night is open to people of all ages and affords prospective students the opportunity to meet with representatives from more than 120 colleges, universities, vocational, and technical schools.
In addition to hosting college representatives, Rock Valley College Financial Aid staff will present information sessions and will help you better understand your financial options for attending college.
College Night is open not only to high school students but also to parents of prospective students, current college students who are looking to transfer, and adults looking to return to school. There is something for everyone at College Night.
There is no admission charge to attend. Prospective students are encouraged to bring their families. The RVC Physical Education Center is located on the RVC main campus at 3301 North Mulford Road in Rockford.
Colleges from all over the United States will be represented at this year’s event, including: Bradley University, Columbia College, DePaul University, Eastern Illinois University, Illinois State University, Iowa State University, Marquette University, Northern Illinois University, Ohio State University, Purdue University, Rockford University, Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, University of Illinois Urbana/Champaign, University of Iowa, University of Kansas, University of Michigan, University of Missouri, University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, and Western Illinois University.

Keynote speaker, eleven year old Jack O’Neil’s, will take you through his journey, where in the time between surgeries and recoveries, he runs his own charity, competes in triathlons, and chases his dream of being a Paralympic swimmer. Join Jack, his little brother Max, and mom Heidi, on Thursday, October 9th at Cliffbreakers at 11:45am, as they open up and share how they privately have made it through the difficult moments, while publicly sharing their triumphs. Learn from this remarkable boy, who has taught his family and now his community that giving up is not an option.
