Rockford Writes Local Authors including Murder and Mayhem in Rockford, Illinois

Two new books of local writings including Rockford history are highlighted in this debut event, with several of the authors speaking: Rockford Writes, an anthology edited by Heath D. Alberts; and Murder & Mayhem in Rockford Illinois, by Kathi Kresol, published by The History Press. Rockford Writes is a collection of fictional and historical short stories, poetry, prose, drawings, and photography by Rockfordians. In Murder & Mayhem in Rockford Illinois, local historian Kathi Kresol explores a history of crime and calamity, from John Hart poisoning his sisters in 1893 to a courthouse collapsing and factory exploding. The afternoon will conclude with sales and signing of the two books.

There is no charge for this event and registration is not required.
