The H.O.P.E. Foundation (Hononegah Opportunities for Public Education) proudly announces the 16th Annual “Touch of Spring” fundraiser/dinner and dance to benefit Hononegah High School. This year’s benefit will once again be held at the American Center Banquet Hall in Rockton on Saturday, March 12 with a social hour from 5:30-6:30 p.m., dinner at 6:30 p.m., and dancing from 8:00-11:00 p.m. The event this year will be a “Touch of the 70’s” with live music, food, and drink. Can’t Touch This, a high-energy 70’s cover band based out of Rockford, Illinois will provide musical entertainment throughout the evening. This is a funk, R&B, party, and dance band that plays hits from Motown, the 70's and today that includes artists such as Cee Lo Green, Chaka Khan, Earth Wind and Fire, and Kool and the Gang.
Although suggested dress is business casual we highly encourage everyone to add some 1970’s flare.
The H.O.P.E. Foundation is a non-profit organization, founded in 1997, that has established an endowment for school projects, student scholarship and teacher grants. Each year it is the foundation’s mission to provide monetary resources for students, teachers, and school projects with the “Touch of Spring” continuing to be the organization’s biggest fundraiser. The foundation’s most current project has been its continued involvement in the early stages of design and redevelopment of the school’s outdoor athletic and physical education facilities. Similar to college foundations, the H.O.P.E. Foundation relies on community and business support to fund this endowment.
A ticket to this event, which includes dinner for two, dancing, a silent auction, and inclusion in the various raffles throughout the night can be purchased for $125.00. The Gem Shop is once again donating a beautiful hand-crafted ring to be raffled during the event with the proceeds going to the Jan Modersohn Scholarship. Also throughout the evening there will be 42 tickets drawn for cash prizes totaling $6,450.00. There are only 168 tickets available to this event.
