His performance starts at 6 pm and lasts about an hour and a half. His master piece will be completed at the event.

Victorian Murder Mystery

Rose is hosting her first Victorian Light party!

The first house in town to have electricity, all of Rockford's elite are in attendance. Known for her flair for over-the-top events, everyone has decided to attend, either out of respect for the hostess, curiosity of electricity, or for the chance to socialize with the upper echelon of Rockford society. Unfortunately for the happy party goers, no one knows that there is a killer in their midst who plans to strike tonight!

All who attend are participants in the Murder Mystery. Dinner is not provided, however light refreshments will be served after the game is complete.

Join the Boone County Conservation District for a stroll through five Cultural Heritage Gardens, a Rain Garden, Butterfly Garden and the Boone County Master Gardener Demonstration Garden.

Gardener interpreters in period clothing will be available for all your garden questions as you tour the Yankee, Scottish, German, Norwegian and Potawatomi gardens. Learn about the many varieties of heirloom vegetables grown by settlers in the early 1800’s. Visit the Norwegian and Scottish cabins and enjoy a beautiful summer evening in the gardens!

Members of the University of Illinois Boone County Master Gardener program will be on hand as you tour the Master Gardener Demonstration Garden.

The Boone County Garden Club of America Butterfly Garden and the Boone County Conservation District Rain Garden and Prairie Plant Identification area will also be included in the tour.

5K Tractor Trot

The 2015 Tractor Trot race will take place on June 6, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. The proceeds will be donated to the DeKalb County Community Gardens.
DeKalb County Community Gardens (DCCG) is an innovative approach to end hunger and food insecurity in DeKalb County, by providing access to fresh, local, sustainably-grown organic vegetables for all who may be in need. DCCG manages over 15 acres of growing space. In two short years DCCG has produced nearly ten tons of food donated to local food pantries, day care centers, schools, community meal locations, senior citizen centers and housing units, as well as to the meals on wheels program. DCCG has gardens all over the County, with over 200 raised beds as well as large acreages.
