ROSCOE (WIFR) -- PBC Linear focused on launching new products to help support the company through the downturn. The strategy has paid big amends for the company at home and across the globe.

The manufacturer of linear motion components added 40 people in the last two years and is looking to hire 30 more. Just when many think the bulk of the challenges are over , PBC boss Mike Moss says one of the biggest pressures is hiring workers quick enough for the new business coming in.

"We lose some opportunity with our customer base if we can't respond and become first to the market. Being a manufacturer you're looking for more the tool design, the cad people, design engineers a lot of what we do here is very sophisticated machining and we need that skill set now and for the future."
