ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- A local couple takes a negative situation and turns it into a positive. And they didn't have to look very far for inspiration.

"When bad circumstances get the best of you you can make the best out of them," Angela Malavolti said.

That's exactly what unemployed Rockford residents Eli and Angela Malavolti did. The duo pulled together their talents and launched Jungle Wagon Press, which publishes and sells children's books on the Internet.

The name was inspired by their son's jungle safari bed, where they read together nightly. Their first book, "You Are a Twisting Tornado" is a story of love with an educational twist.

The Malavolti's say they want to help as many people as possible on their way to success.

"If you've ever thought of writing a book, or your a good artist, maybe you've never thought of illustrating a book, you have the ability to send in what you have and you may be our next author or illustrator. we want to seek out those diamonds in the rough those people that maybe wouldn't be sought out by other publishers, and we just want to make their dreams come true," Malavolti said.

The public is invited to attend a book release party next Saturday, June 25 from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at Happy Joe's Restaurant in Rockford.
