It's been months of terrible economic news and now there's another local casualty in the automotive industry. Lear Corporation in Janesville will be shutting down on December 23rd. That's the same day the General Motors plant also in Janesville is slated to close. Lear supplies interiors and seating systems to GM. 371 workers will be laid off. 336 were already let go in July when GM eliminated the second shift in Janesville.
