So while many try to protect their retirment funds others are looking for a way to safeguard their jobs. Workspace CEO Jack Dillon says some of the best ways to become immune from layoffs are to remain flexible in both hours and responsibilities, and to seek furthur education and training. He says even though the economy has started to slow down.. there are still jobs out there for dedicated workers.
"I think whenever we see economic downturns we see a lot of smart business owners say now is the time to hire people, but it's also the time we can layoff the lower level, the c people, people that aren't dedicated to us, people that are just helping us get by," said Jack Dillon, Workplace CEO.
Dillon encourages people to take advantage of state dislocated worker programs and inexpensive training programs in our area to secure employment.
