A Winnebago county sheriff's deputy found not guilty of homicide, has been cleared to go back to work. Joseph Boomer's been on administrative leave since a car accident, when he hit and killed two-brothers back in 2006 while responding to a call. Last night a jury found Boomer not guilty on reckless homicide charges. He, along with the Winnebago county sheriff's office now face a civil suit. However, sheriff Dick Meyers tells 23 news he plans on speaking with Boomer today or tomorrow to talk about his plans to come back to work.
