Lutheran High School Student Remembered

A Lutheran High School student is being remembered tonight for his sence of humor and ability to solve the Rubix cube in under a minute.

Dozens of people came out to Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Rockford to honor 16-year-old Eric Nash. He died Thursday after falling ill during track practice. An autopsy performed yesterday came out inconclusive. The Winnebago county coroner says he suffered from asthma.

Many around him say Nash's sense of humor was unforgettable.

"Makes me laugh. Makes everyone laugh. Everyone that meets him loves him. It's hard to get to know him...It's worth it," said his sister Emma Nash.

"He was definitely a cool guy there's not anyone who didn't like him. A friend to everybody," said friend Tanner Johnson.

A funeral for Nash will be held tuesday at 4 o'clock at Trinity Lutheran Church in Rockford.

There were 250 students, teachers, and friends of Eric at the event. An open mic time showed the love that the kids had for Eric, and how he will be remembered.
