Around the globe organizations observe the first world Autism Awareness Day. The neurological disorder is now being called a global epidemic.
It's estimated one out of every 150-children are diagnosed with autism. A brain development disorder that impairs social interaction, communication, and causes repetitive behavior. So far doctors have had a tough time figuring out a cause as well as the best ways to treat it. Activists hope this day will make the public more aware of the growing problem and bring-in funds to help prevention research.
