ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- The pickup in hiring is expected to last over the next five years as companies look to replace retiring workforce.
Canadian National plans to hire 100 people for various positions across Illinois this year. The positions are well paying and many don't require a college degree. BNSF also plans to bump up their employment numbers, hiring about 400 Illinois workers.
