LOVES PARK (WIFR) -- Leaders from Rockford, Loves Park, Machesney Park, Pecatonica and other municipalities joined the growing list of casino supporters today.
Landing a casino would create over one thousand jobs and generate millions of dollars in revenue for our struggling economy.
Leaders say the economic impact from a gaming site isn't restricted to just Rockford, it will benefit all of Winnebago County.
" The biggest thing we like to see are the jobs created. second our Fairgrounds are going to get some additional money from a casino. I think the Winnebago County fairgrounds is one of the most under-utilized pieces of property in the county and if this is something that can spark some growth out there, let's get it done."
