ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- David Barr left Rockford over a decade ago after graduating college. But a visit to the Forest City last year for a sporting event, really solidified the decision to expand his e-commerce business into Rockford.
Lyons Consulting group designs and maintains websites for businesses, primarily retailers. Since setting up shop at the Eiger Lab this year. Lyons has already hired 10 people, but is looking to double that number in the next year. A college degree is preferred, but not required for the positions.
"Some of our folks may have a associates degree or perhaps haven't gone to college at all but have work experience and life experience in the tech field. Primarily, were looking for programmers who have experience in PHP development on the job. Folks who really have that customer-centric point of view and the skills for solid problem solving."
