Tyaisha Robinson joined WIFR as the 10pm producer in August of 2007. She has since been promoted to 5pm producer, reporter, and manages news content on the stations web channel.

Tyaisha graduated from Illinois State University with a Broadcast Journalism degree, and immediately start working as an intern at 23 WIFR. She first discovered her passion for television when filling in as a meteorologist at her schools TV station, which was extra credit for a class. An even though she stop checking the clouds she never detoured from the excitement, and diversity the newsroom brings. During her time at ISU, Tyaisha continued to be involved at the student television station TV 10. It was there Tyaisha transformed into a well rounded journalist.

As a native of Chicago, Tyaisha considers herself a “Big City” girl, but has been enjoying her time in Rockford, and its laid back atmosphere. Tyaisha is a proud member of The National Association of Black Journalist, and lives to spend time with her family, her Cocker Spaniel “CoaCo”, and friends.

Some interesting facts about Tyaisha are that she’s a very picky eater; so no Seafood or Chinese food for her at dinner. However, Tyaisha does love Italian, Mexican, and lets not forget an American Cheese Burger with fries and a shake. Tyaisha enjoys to travel, and finding any excuse to buy new clothes to go out on the town.
