Brian is thrilled to be in the Rockford area after beginning his career at KTVO News in northeast Missouri. Originally from southeast Indiana, he is a graduate of Purdue University where he received a B.A. in Atmospheric Science with a minor in communication.
While at Purdue, Brian interned at WLFI-TV in Lafayette, Indiana and was part of the campus television show "Fast Track." He also interned at the National Weather Service in Indianapolis.
Weather has always been Brian’s passion in life. Being able to turn his passion into a career has been a dream come true. Growing up in Southeast Indiana, Brian was able to experience a true four season climate and was always fascinated by the extreme weather and how quickly it could turn. While he absolutely loves severe weather season, Brian would have to say his favorite type of weather is, without a doubt, snow.
Brian is a die-hard Purdue Boilermaker fan and can often be heard chanting “Boiler Up!” His other favorite teams include the Cincinnati Bengals and Cincinnati Reds. Outside of work Brian can be found enjoying the outdoors. He is an avid snowboarder and wake boarder. He also enjoys a nice round of golf or hanging out on the lake. If it has to do with the outdoors, you will likely find him there.
Brian’s forecast can be seen on the weekends and he enjoys hearing from anyone whether it is a story idea, question about weather, or just to say hey. Feel free to contact him at email@example.com.
