Stephen joined the 23 News team in August 2011. WIFR is Stephen's first venture into television news. A Rockford native and Guilford alum, Stephen had spent the past three years with ESPN Radio 1380 as an on-air talent and producer.

Stephen graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Public Relations. He announced football and basketball games at Whitewater for the past four years, and collected five awards from the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association for his play-by-play work. Despite going to school in Wisconsin, Stephen remains a diehard Bears, Bulls, Cubs and Blackhawks fan.

When he's not out reporting, Stephen enjoys watching any sport from football to wrestling (although he may be one of the few who still finds it entertaining), playing golf, spending time with his fiance, family and friends, including his English Bulldog and Beagle.

A food enthusiast, Stephen enjoys trying new foods of all kinds, but his favorites will always be Chinese, Mexican and a good basket of Buffalo Wings.
