MILWAUKEE (AP) -- The Milwaukee Brewers say they have placed Seth McClung on the 15-day disabled list after the right-hander felt discomfort in his right elbow.
McClung was hurt Friday night. The Brewers called the injury a sprain and didn't provide a timetable for his return. McClung threw a pitch to the backstop in the ninth inning of a 9-4 loss to the Atlanta Braves and left with two outs because of a "weird" feeling.
McClung had an MRI Saturday, but said he would wait for a doctor's consultation before commenting. He had a sleeve on the elbow and shagged flies during batting practice, but threw the balls back to the infield with his left hand.
McClung is 3-3 with a 5.03 ERA in 36 relief appearances and two starts. He had Tommy John surgery in 2003.
