We are four days away from the start of high school football and that date will have even more meaning for Rockford Public Schools.
At Auburn high school this morning the district had the ribbon cutting for the brand new turf playing surface. And later in the afternoon, the district unveiled the new turf at Guilford. The process took nearly the entire summer and cost over 3 million dollars. All four RPS schools will share the facilites for many sports and physical education classes. Those involved say this commitment will only enchance each student athletes experience.
