We caught up with Willie this weekend at the Freeport crosstown classic. After college willie played basketball in Japan for about 8 months before returning to the states.

He had a tryout this past fall with the Rio Grande Vipers of the NBA developmental league but an injury kept him out of training camp.

Still Veasley says the D league is a real possibility now that hes fully healed and a career in the NBA is still something he hopes to achieve.
