DEKALB, Ill. -- Northern Illinois basketball head coach Mark Montgomery announced today that senior forward Tim Toler (Indianapolis, Ind./Avon/Danville Area CC) would no longer be a part of the men’s basketball program.
“Tim Toler has been dismissed from the Huskie basketball program, effective today,” Montgomery said. “Tim will remain in school and continue to work toward graduation, which is the most important thing for him at this time.”
Toler was suspended for a violation of team rules prior to the game against Ball State on Jan. 21. Toler appeared in 16 games this season, making 14 starts, and was averaging 10.8 points per game.
