The Blue Thunder's senior star signed his letter of intent to join NIU's football team today. Austin Smaha is second all time in NIC-10 in rushing yards and ranks number 1 in yards per game. He also had 220 career tackles on defense, which is good because he expects to play outside linebacker for NIU. Smaha said the decision to pick Northern for his football future was an easy one.
