ANNES, England (AP) -- Adam Scott is the first-round leader at the British Open following a 6-under-par 64 that puts him one stroke ahead of Paul Lawrie, Zach Johnson and Nicolas Colsaerts. Scott matched the lowest Open round ever at Royal Lytham & St. Annes after taking himself out of contention in the opening round of the first two majors of the year. Brandt Snedeker is third at 3-under, while Tiger Woods, Bubba Watson Graeme McDowell and Ernie Els are among eight players at minus-4.
