NORMAL, Ill. (AP) -- The Illinois High School Association is considering moving some of its football championship games to Illinois State University in Normal.

IHSA executive director Marty Hickman told The Pantagraph newspaper in Bloomington (http://bit.ly/wDgwuN ) Wednesday that Hancock Stadium is being considered for either four of the eight title games or all eight for 2013. A decision is expected in June, and bids are still being accepted.

Hancock Stadium hosted title games until 1999 when they were moved to Memorial Stadium on the University of Illinois campus in Champaign.

The IHSA is now looking for another place to play in odd-numbered years. The expansion of the Big Ten means Memorial Stadium isn't available every year.

ISU trustees are expected this Friday to approve a $25 million renovation project for Hancock Stadium.
