One of the best basketball players in the stateline is on the move. Former Jefferson superstar Antoine Pittman has registered at Auburn High School. If this transfer goes through it would pair Pittman with Laytwan Porter creating one of the best one two punches in the area. Pittman and Porter were each ranked among the top 25 juniors in the state by chicagohoops.com. In fact they were the only stateline players on that list. Last year at jefferson pittman helped guide the j-hawks to the sectional finals. We spoke with RPS athletic director Mat Parker about the move. Parker told me the process is just getting started and that it usually takes anywhere from a few weeks to a few months to verify a transfer like this. This news comes just two seasons after Marcus Posley was ruled ineligible when he transfered to Auburn from Winnebago. Parker says anyone with questions regarding a transfer should contact his office. As for the Pittman move, we will keep you posted on this story as it develops.
