Packers FB Miree Expected to Return to Practice

After missing the Green Bay Packers' first two preseason games because of a neck injury, fullback Brandon Miree hopes to return to the practice field tonight.

The fullback plays a critical role in the Packers' offense, and the team is dangerously thin at the position going into their preseason game against Jacksonville Thursday night.

Miree did not play in the Packers' 48-13 preseason victory over Seattle on Saturday, and rookie fullback Ryan Powdrell injured a knee ligament during the game. That leaves the Packers with only sixth-round rookie Korey Hall, who is trying to learn the position after playing linebacker in college at Boise State.
