The Minnesota Vikings are working out free agent receiver Robert Ferguson today, two days after the Packers cut him.
Coach Brad Childress says one reason for the invitation is that offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell is familiar with Ferguson. Bevell was an assistant coach with the Packers while Ferguson was in Green Bay.
Injuries limited the six-year veteran in recent seasons, sending him down the depth chart.
Childress has said many times he likes his group of receivers -- but they're inexperienced and not very accomplished.
Ferguson has said he has no hard feelings toward the Packers, and he has many good memories of his time in Green Bay.
