Illini Receiver Out at Least Two Weeks

The Champaign News-Gazette reported in a blog on its Web site that sophomore wideout Chris James damaged a ligament in his knee and will be out two weeks or more. According to the blog, Zook said James may need surgery. An Illinois spokeswoman had said James would miss at least a week.

Zook also said freshman receiver Regus Benn will miss a week of practice after straining his right shoulder in Saturday's scrimmage..

Freshman defensive lineman Josh Brent is expected to miss the rest of this week after spraining his knee.

Freshman defensive lineman Jerry Brown was back in practice today. The redshirt freshman injured a hip.
