Stewart Wins After Gordon Spins Out

Tony Stewart took advantage of Jeff Gordon's late gaffe to win the Centurion Boats at The Glen.

Gordon led a race-high 51 laps and appeared to have his tenth road course victory in hand before he spun out on his own with two laps to go. Stewart spun out in the same place while leading earlier in the race, dropping him to 19th.

It was Stewart's third victory in four races, and sixth on a road course.

Denny Hamlin finished second, followed by Jimmie Johnson and Ron Fellows. Gordon was ninth.

Dale Earnhardt Junior blew an engine on lap 63 and finished 42nd. Earnhardt had been trailing Kurt Busch by seven points for the 12th and final spot in the Chase.
