Cubs Rocked in Colorado

Jamey Carroll hit a pinch-hit grand slam to break open a tie game in the sixth inning to lead the Colorado Rockies past the Chicago Cubs 15-2. Brad Hawpe and Troy Tulowitzki each drove in three runs. Carroll finished with a career-high five RBIs.

The Cubs fell a game and a-half behind Milwaukee in the NL Central. The Rockies moved to within two games of San Diego in the NL wild-card race.

The Rockies scored four runs in the seventh on Hawpe's two-run homer and Tulowitzki's two-run single. Tulowitzki went 4-for-5.

Colorado starter Josh Fogg evened his mark at 7-and-7 with six decent innings.
