Sun Light Up the Sky

Margo Dydek had a season-high 18 points as the Connecticut Sun clinched a spot in the WNBA playoffs with a 88-66 win over the Chicago Sky tonight.

Asjha Jones had 14 points, Jamie Carey had 13 and Nykesha Sales added 12 for the Sun, who have won 11 of 13 and are 1 1/2 games behind Indiana for second place in the Eastern Conference.

Lyndsay Whalen had nine points, seven assists and four steals, and the 7-foot-2 Dydek added three blocks as Connecticut made the playoffs for the fifth straight year.

Candice Dupree had 18 points and Stacey Dales added 11 for Chicago, which has lost five straight and 11 of 15. Former-Sun Brooke Wykoff had 10 points for the Sky, who entered the night 2 1/2 games behind Washington for the fourth and final playoff spot in the East.
