Sox and Yanks Combine For 16 Runs in Second Inning

Chicago took an 8-0 lead in the second inning but the homestanding Yankees came right back with eight of their own in the bottom half of the frame.

Jermaine Dye led the way for the Sox with four runs batted in while three other players each drove in two. Dye had two home runs and two doubles on the day. For the Yankees, Wilson Betemit drove in three while two other players each had two RBIs.

Reliever Boone Logan got the win, his second in as many decisions, while Jeff Karstens falls to 0-and-2 for the New Yorkers.

Rodriguez hasn't homered since hitting number 499 on July 25th.
