Brewers Going Up and Down

Milwaukee is bringing up infielder/outfielder Joe Dillon, who was batting .317 at Nashville with team highs of 20 home runs and 73 RBIs.

The National League Central leaders also recalled pitcher Elmer Dessens from his minor league rehab assignment in Nashville and placed pitcher Scott Linebrink on leave following the birth of his first child.

Linebrink was acquired from San Diego in a trade last week. Dessens has spent much of the season on the Brewers' disabled list with a shoulder strain. He made three appearances for Nashville, going 1-and-0 with a one-point-54 ERA.
