Mark Buehrle pitched eight scoreless innings and the Chicago White Sox blanked the Toronto Blue Jays 2-to-0. Jerry Owens hit his first career home run for all the scoring as the White Sox have won five of six.
Buehrle is 8-6. He scattered eight hits and struck out six over eight innings. White Sox closer Bobby Jenks pitched a scoreless ninth for his 30th save in 35 chances.
Danny Richar led off the seventh inning with a single off Toronto starter Roy Halladay, who fell to 11-5 despite throwing a complete game. On the next pitch, Owens hit a line drive over the fence in right to give the White Sox the lead.
The home run broke a streak of 21 scoreless innings for Halladay. He pitched his 28th complete game of his career and the fourth this season.
