White Sox Beat Tigers in Game One

Paul Konerko's two-run home run in the sixth inning snapped a 3-all tie and the Chicago White Sox went on to record a 5-3 victory over the visiting Detroit Tigers in the opener of a day-night doubleheader.

Josh Fields also went deep for the winners, while Curtis Granderson and Ivan Rodriguez homered for Detroit.

Chicago starter Javier Vazquez pitched eight innings to pick up the win. He's 8-5 on the year. Bobby Jenks got the final three outs to record his 27th save.

Tigers starter Jeremy Bonderman got tagged with just his second loss in 12 decisions this season.
