Rush Bounced From Playoffs

Mark Grieb threw for 291 yards and six touchdowns as the San Jose SaberCats beat the defending champion Chicago Rush 61-49 today.

The SaberCats advance to their third ArenaBowl in six seasons. The Rush go home.

Ben Nelson caught four T-D passes and James Roe had ten catches for 108 yards for the top-seeded SaberCats (15-3), who won their 12th straight game and completed an unbeaten home season.

They also gave a strong defensive performance against the Rush (13-5), whose four-game winning streak against their toughest Western Conference rival was snapped.

The SaberCats will go for their third league title against the Columbus Destroyers in the ArenaBowl in New Orleans on July 29th.
