Uggla's 13th homer of the season came two innings after Josh Willingham knotted the score with a solo shot. Uggla and Hanley Ramirez each had two R-B-Is for the Marlins, who blew an early 3-to-0 lead and trailed 5-to-3 in the second inning before rallying.
Marlins starter Dontrelle Willis had to leave the game after one inning with a tight left forearm. He was reached for four runs and three hits in the opening frame, including a three-run homer by Josh Fields.
Armando Benitez improved to 1-and-3 with one inning of relief. Kevin Gregg picked up his 12th save with a perfect ninth.
