Clowney -- from Virginia Tech -- was selected in the fifth round, 157th overall, of the draft. He was one of two Hokies picked by Green Bay, joining safety Aaron Rouse, a third-round pick.
Clowney is a 6-foot, 188-pound speedster who also excelled in track in college. Clowney caught a team-high 34 passes in both his junior and senior seasons.
He also underwent an emergency appendectomy last year, but managed to return to game action just nine days after his surgery.
