Sox Win With Extra Inning Heroics

The White Sox trailed 4-to-0 and 5-to-4 before picking up their fourth straight win. Joe Crede knotted the score with a run-scoring single in the eighth and delivered an R-B-I single in the White Sox's three-run fourth.

White Sox starter Jose Contreras retired 16 consecutive batters after Carlos Guillen ripped a first-inning grand slam. The streak ended when Magglio Ordonez homered in the sixth.

David Aardsma is 2-and-0 after getting the final out in the ninth. Bobb Jenks picked up his sixth save and Fernando Rodney dropped to 1-and-4.

The Tigers have dropped three in a row.
