Chicago called up reliever Boone Logan from Triple-A Charlotte to replace him on the roster.
An M-R-I exam revealed no tear. But trainer Herm Schneider says Podsednik has a moderate to severe strain and there is no timetable for his return.
Podsednik is batting .303 with one home run, two R-B-I, three stolen bases and six runs scored in 10 games.
Logan is 0-and-1 with a 2-point-16 earned run average and 11 strikeouts in four relief appearances with Charlotte. He pitched in 21 games with the White Sox last season. He was winless with an eight-point-three E-R-A.
