The Cubs invested 300-million in the offseason on hitting and defense, with the idea that Kerry W ood and Mark Prior would eventually make an impact on the mound, who knows when that will happen. Ttoday, Prior's first outing of the spring ended on a horrible note.
He was forced to leave a spring training game after completing just two innings. The Cubs are reporting Prior left with a great deal of discomfort in his right schoulder. He had thrown 75-pitches in a bullpen session earlier in the week. Had things gone well this afternoon. Prior would have been called up to Triple-A Iowa next week..
