The Rockford Thunder softball team may have already played it's last game here in the stateline.

A group of investors has signed a letter of intent to bring the Thunder franchise to Atlanta. This is according to a report from the Atlanta Journal Consititution. The deal is pending league approval. The Thunder franchise started in Houston as the Texas Thunder. It then spent the last 3 years here in the Rockford area
