Kerry Wood met with the media today. Wood says his spate of injuries stinks, but he's never questioned his misfortunes, and he's a competitior and he's not going to quit.
For Wood he won't be back on the field again for a couple weeks, meaning his first time back on the mound could be in a critical situation. The Cubs are hoping to use him as a reliever. Wood has lost 30-pounds through diet and exercise while rehabbing a partially torn rotator cuff, and now it's his shoulder that's bothering him.
