Shaw, who averaged over 11 points and five rebounds as the Salukis' third-leading scorer this season, sprained his ankle during Southern Illinois' opening-round win over Holy Cross.
He returned to practice today in San Jose, but plans to see how he feels before deciding whether to play. He missed the Salukis' second-round win over Virginia Tech last week.
Southern Illinois must beat the top-seeded Jayhawks to reach the round of eight for the first time in school history.
