Bears Trade Jones

Jones rushed for 34-hundred-93 yards in three seasons with the Bears, after playing for Tampa Bay and Arizona. He gives the Jets the Number One running back they've been seeking since Curtis Martin -- who is expected to retire -- was sidelined a year ago by knee problems.

Jones' departure from Chicago gives Cedric Benson the opportunity to carry the load at running back.

The fourth overall pick in 2005, Benson gained 647 yards during the regular season and averaged four-point-one yards per carry -- just like Jones. The Bears are banking on Benson living up to the hype that accompanied him from Texas to the N-F-L.
