The IceHogs will be at the MetroCentre for the first two games of the playoffs but because Houston is their first round opponent. The Hogs will travel to Houston for the middle three games of the series.
"MIKE HAVILAND: Three games down there is very business-like, whereas Milwaukee would've been a lot of back and forth. Now we can eat together, we're all together, we can do video together. I kinda like that we'll be altogether for games 3,4 and 5."
All of the IceHog players were thankful for the two home games to begin the series. But the season series shows that, maybe they would've liked it the other way around. Both teams were one and two at home. The Hogs shut out the Aeros at the Metrocentre in late November, but lost twice in one week to Houston in Rockford in early February.
At the Toyota Center in Texas, Rockford took 2 of 3 games, winning the first two before dropping the series finale March 15th, leaving the season series split at 3 games a piece.
"COLIN FRASER: Yea, they're a good team. They come hard. Very, very sound defensively and good goaltending. So, it's gonna be a pretty tight series."
"I see the games being real tight. You may see some overtime games. but it's been an even series."
If this playoff series goes anything like the regular season. The IceHogs will have a tremendous game-7 advantage.
