As the new coach of the Chicago Blackhawks, Trent Yawney has taken on a daunting job. He'll have to teach his system, reunite with players who were with him in the minors, learn the new faces and mend fences with fans disillusioned by a lockout that wiped out the entire 2004-2005 N-H-L season. And on top of all that, Yawney will have to find a way to make the once-proud Blackhawks winners again. They've missed the playoffs in six of the previous seven years when teams were on the ice. Yawney says he will want to start small, and little-by-little bring the team back to where management wants it. Yawney replaces Brian Sutter, who was not rehired last month when new general manager Dale Tallon took over.
